Day 76 - New Years Day

Happy New Year everyone! Today I feel excited. 2011 is full of possibilities. What will it hold in store for us? Career? Love? Passion? I am so keen to get into this year and get a great job, start my studies, and get running again. Oh and maybe find love too. Who knows? ;)

So this will be my last entry. I have enjoyed blogging and talking to you guys every day. Even though it's been a bit of a one-sided conversation. But hey, that's probably better for me anyway. No-one to disagree with me! Haha.

So I think I may keep on blogging on another topic. Not sure what yet. If you wanna read some more of my stuff, I have a food blog: http://perfectlypoached.blogspot.com or a public transport bagging/shit poetry blog: http://trammusings.blogspot.com but maybe I'll create a whole new one.

So New Year Resolutions. Has anyone made any? I wanna meditate more. Hopefully daily. And finish my novel. It will be a hard feat while I'm studying but I will give it a go!

I've loved sharing this journey with you :)

For one last time, this is what I ate today:

Day 75 - New Years Eve

So NYE was a pretty quiet one for me this year. It's probably the second quietest NYE I've ever had. The most quiet one I ever had was when I was about 16 and didn't want to go out with my parents, but wasn't allowed to go to my friend's party. So I stayed home with my sister's dog and watched Reservoir Dogs. That was a pretty good NYE actually. Great cinema, good company ;)

Last night I went round to my sister's (surprise, surprise) and we had a couple of friends over for dinner. I made a Jamie Oliver recipe. A goats cheese and prosciutto risotto which everyone else liked but I hated. It had half a head of celery in it. It was finely diced but I didn't saute it long enough and it was still a bit crunchy. But that wasn't why I didn't like it. I just didn't like the flavour. It had 3 cheeses in it (pecorino, reggiano and goats cheese) and was very salty. I prefer risotto with meat or vegies in it...oh well, at least the others were happy!

Then we had a delicious chocolate mousse for dessert. It had tiny little bits of chocolate in it, it was sooo good!

I didn't drink much after my HUGE Xmas drinkathon. I wasn't ready for another horrible hangover.

Meal 1 - water
coffee
muesli with milk and blueberries

Meal 2 - water
coffee
baked beans on toast with rocket and feta (from Palomino's)

Meal 3 - water
chips
dip and crackers
2 Coopers Pale Ale

Meal 4 - water
glass of white wine
goats cheese and prosciutto rissotto
white bread
rocket and parmasen salad

Meal 5 - water
2 frangelico and limes
chocolate mousse with fresh strawberries

I was in bed by 1am. OMG I am so lame these days...but healthier!

Day 74 - Some kind of bug?

So Thursday I was still exhausted. I felt achy all over and sore sinuses. Again, I slothed around my flat before going to the supermarket, picking up supplies and heading over to my sister's. I cooked tuna patties for dinner from one of the CSIRO cookbooks which were pretty yummy.

Meal 1 - lemon water
coffee
muesli with milk

Meal 2 - water
cold milk with milo
wholegrain toasties with cheese and baked beans

Meal 3 - water
lemon tuna patties with Caesar salad and roast potatoes

Meal 4 - water
tea
2 Earnest Hillier turkish delights

I've somehow managed to resort back to 3 meals a day...I find now that I am ravenous and lightheaded come 5'oclock...hmm, time to go back to eating every 3 hours I think!
